The game

First lesson free

Political boxing for beginners

How do I learn to play?

The main menu has a Walkthrough: sixteen short lessons taught inside a real match, from walking and blocking to EX, super and ultra. The How to play screen explains every button, and every fighter has a full move list.

Want to practise without pressure? Training: a dummy, a clock that never runs, frame data on every hit.

Handover

The buttons, from polite to rude

What does each button do?

PKSPSUPERFP+K

  1. Stick: walk, jump (up), crouch (down). Double-tap a direction to dash. Hold back, away from your opponent, to block: standing for highs, crouching for lows.
  2. P and K: punch and kick. With forward they hit heavier; down plus kick is a sweep that knocks down.
  3. SP: your special. Up plus special is the anti-air version; double-tap for EX (one stock).
  4. SUPER: costs two of your four stocks. Once the revenge gauge is half full, the same button fires the ultra.
  5. F: focus attack. Hold to charge; it absorbs one hit.
  6. P+K: a close-range throw that can’t be blocked. Grabbed yourself? Press it the moment they grab to break free.

Lost

Lost: one fighter. Locked.

How do I unlock the Voter?

Clear Arcade: five fights, easy to hard, then the Cabal. Beat it and the Voter is yours in every mode.

Can you play as the Cabal? No. It plays you.

Wanted

Wanted: some quiet.

No sound, or too much of it

On iPhone, check the silent switch on the side. In the game: the gear on the main menu, Settings › Sound & haptics, with separate switches for music, sound effects and haptics.

Swap

English עברית

How do I change the language?

Settings › Language: Hebrew or English, instantly. Every menu flips to the right direction; the ring stays put, and player 1 is always on the left.

Notice

The game froze or closed

What do I do when something breaks?

  1. Close the app completely and reopen it.
  2. Make sure you have the latest version from the store.
  3. Still happening? Tell us your device, iOS or Android version, the mode, the fighters and the stage. A screenshot helps a lot.

We don’t collect crash reports ourselves, so your message is usually the only way we find out.

Online

Lost

Lost: an opponent on my Wi-Fi.

Nearby games don’t show up

  1. Both devices on the same Wi-Fi network. Not a guest network, and neither one on mobile data. Many public and office networks stop devices seeing each other.
  2. On iPhone, allow Local Network. The game asks the first time; if you said no: Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network › Kikar Kombat.
  3. One device picks Host a game, the other Find games.
  4. VPN on? Switch it off for a moment.
  5. Still nothing? Switch to “Over the internet” and use a room code.

Found

Found: a room code.

How do I play a friend who isn’t here?

Online › Over the internet › Create a room. You get a four-character code, like K7QX. Send it to your friend, who picks Join with a code and types it in.

The room waits ten minutes. Codes leave out look-alikes, so there’s no O next to 0 and no I next to 1. Whoever opened the room hosts and plays on the left.

Opponent wanted

Quick match

What is quick match?

It pairs you with whoever is waiting right now on exactly the same version. If nobody is, you wait in the queue until someone turns up, and you can cancel any time.

Coalition agreement

iPhone vs Android? Sure.

Can iPhone and Android play each other?

Yes, in every online mode: same Wi-Fi, room code and quick match. Same ring, same frame data, same 60 frames a second. The one condition: the same version on both devices. (The Android version is on its way to Google Play.)

Urgent

“Update the app to play together”

What does that mean?

The two devices are running different versions of the fight engine. To keep the match fair and in sync, both sides must run exactly the same version. In the nearby list this shows as “Different version”.

Update both devices from their store. A new version sometimes reaches one store a day before the other; if so, wait until it’s on both.

Fault

Disconnected, or the fight jumps

Lag, jumps or dropped matches

Online play uses rollback: when a packet is late the game predicts and then corrects, so you may see a small jump. Your ping is shown in the lobby and during the fight.

  1. Wi-Fi beats mobile data, and closer to the router is better.
  2. Pause downloads and streaming, and switch off any VPN.
  3. “The two games fell out of sync”: the match stops rather than carry on unfairly. Just start another.
  4. A dropped connection ends the match; there’s no rejoining halfway.
  5. “The server is full”: try again soon. “Too many tries”: you typed a lot of wrong codes, wait a minute.

Personal

Your name on the poster

What name does my opponent see?

The one in Settings › Your name, up to 16 characters. It starts out as your device’s name: on iPhone that’s just “iPhone”, and on some Android phones it’s the name you gave the device, which may include a first name. While you host on the same Wi-Fi, anyone browsing for games on that network sees it. Rather not? Change it to a nickname.

Ads & purchases

Paid advertisement

Yes, there are ads. They can go.

Where are the ads, and how do I get rid of them?

The ads, from Google AdMob, pay for the game and the online server. They show up in menus and between fights, and never mid-fight, online, in the Walkthrough or in Training.

One purchase, Settings › No ads › Remove ads, makes all of them disappear for good. There’s no account, and you never have to sign up for anything.

Found

I bought it, then changed phones

How do I get Remove Ads back?

Settings › No ads › Restore purchases, on a device signed in to the same Apple or Google account you bought with. The purchase moves between devices of the same store, but not from iPhone to Android or back: each store only knows its own receipts.

Privacy

Personalised ads? Your call.

How do I limit personalised ads?

  1. iPhone: when the game asks about tracking, choose “Ask App Not to Track”. Change it any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
  2. Android: Settings › Privacy › Ads (or Settings › Google › Ads), where you can delete your advertising ID.
  3. Where the law requires it (the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and some US states): Google’s consent form appears before the first ad, and you can change your choice in Settings › No ads › Privacy choices.

All the details are in the privacy policy.

Settings & progress

Lost

Lost: my progress.

New phone, or I deleted the game. How do I get it back?

There’s no account, so nothing is stored with us. Settings and progress (language, CPU level, sound, name, Arcade and Walkthrough) live only on the device, with no sync between devices.

A full device backup and restore (iCloud or Google) usually brings them back along with the app. Deleting the app deletes them. Want a clean slate? Delete and reinstall. (Remove Ads lives in your store account, and is restored separately.)

Advanced

The CPU’s level

How do I change the difficulty?

Settings › CPU level: Rookie, MK, Minister or PM. It applies to Arcade and VS CPU. The higher they climb, the less they apologise.

Accessibility

Everyone

The ring is open to everyone

What accessibility options are there?

  • The game respects Reduce Motion: stamps and transitions calm down.
  • Player 1 and player 2 are marked by number and tag, not only by red and blue.
  • Music, sound effects and haptics each have their own switch.
  • Full Hebrew and English, including screen direction.
  • The Walkthrough goes at your pace, and Training has no clock.
  • Buttons are sized by how often you press them: punch and kick are the biggest.
  • Menu buttons are labelled for VoiceOver. The fight itself relies on touch and timing, so it isn’t screen-reader accessible.

There’s no button remapping or controller support yet. Missing something? Tell us, seriously.
